Health Tip For Migraines & Headaches
Why do we get headaches and migraines? Are they part of inside information being revealed via the body's own Morse code? Is that the annoying tapping sound you can feel? How would you be able to translate this code?
For those who suffer from migraines, the body manipulates the Morse code and communicates the only way it knows how- via a tantrum (sending their secret agents, known as prostaglandins, in your bloodstream to cause inflammation, pain, and swelling. A painful pulsating effect occurs due to the dilation of blood vessels. This expansion and contraction of blood vessels can occur in the face, head, and neck- a painful change in blood vessels creating their own Morse code).
Either your body is not happy with your diet (dislikes caffeine and processed foods) or is sleep deprived, dehydrated and stressed inside. On the outside, a stressful environment (particularly loud and intrusive noises), or constant exposure to pollutants, weather changes, fluorescent lighting (flickering motion can be as much as 60 times per second) and energy interference, can create havoc with your body's own frequency level.
There are certain foods that can trigger migraines, and there are foods and supplements that can reduce the intensity and frequency of these attacks. There are also exercises and acupressure points that may relieve migraine pressure.
For migraines, for example, applying pressure to the palm of your hand using the thumb of your other hand for 5 minutes may offer some relief (do the same with your other hand). For headaches, there is an effective pressure point located in the web portion between the thumb and index finger. Applying steady pressure for about 2-3 minutes, and reversing with the other hand may do the trick!
Having someone massage your feet with botanical oils such as: Melissa, or Clary Sage, Chamomile, Basil, Eucalyptus, Grapefruit, Lavender, Marjoram, Peppermint, Rosemary, Valerian, Yarrow, Clove and Lime combo or Birch may quieten the tantrum that is afflicting you.
In response to the Morse code, these oils can be used: Black Cumin, Peppermint, Eucalyptus, Helichrysum, Cajeput, Lavender, Lemongrass, Rosemary, Marjoram, Rosemary, Rosewood, Thyme, Clove and Lime combo, and Birch.
Prevention is the best route to take to avoid the Morse code altogether. Bypass digestive problems by eating 2 apples (apples contain salicylates) per day (helps avoid constipation which is often linked to headaches).
Pure Aloe Vera juice is great to take after a meal to help with digestion (also contains over 200 nutrients to pump up the body, and special delivery agents to transport them).
You may wish to include celery juice as part of your diet (can be combined with carrot and other veges) as it contains coumarins that may have a soothing effect on the vascular system. Have your teeth regularly checked because one bad tooth may also be the culprit leading to head pain.
You may wish to go easy on the meat and dairy (avoid eating your ice cream too fast. Cold temperature can activate nerves in the roof of your mouth sending a message to the brain to sound out the alarm).
Try making a habit of drinking plenty of water, at least half your body weight in ounces (if you weigh 150 pounds, drink 75 oz per day). Dehydration is a serious problem (many people are not even aware they are dehydrated) and there is a spotlight already on this.
Eat lots of fresh fruit and raw vegetables. Go green on your veges, and blue/purple on your fruit. Choose high grade fuel for your engine! You may wish to make Omega 3 an essential part of your diet as it seems to help.
Migraines can occur due to biorhythm disturbances which are caused by low levels of melatonin (a naturally occurring hormone that regulates the sleep cycle). If you already have difficulty sleeping, taking an adequate amount of melatonin (30 mins before bedtime) may not only reduce the frequency, intensity and duration of a migraine but also soothe you to sleep.
Try some raw apple cider vinegar and raw unfiltered honey (list is too long for all the additional benefits: blood cleanser, purifier, fat dissolver, etc.). Mix 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar to a teaspoon of honey in some lukewarm water. Drink twice a day, preferably before a meal.
Are you lacking in riboflavin? According to one study, a high dosage eliminates migraine candidacy. Due to possible deficiency in certain brain cells' energy generators, flooding the system with riboflavin could regenerate the energy holding place and short-circuit migraine pain. Foods to include would be: eggs, milk, meat, poultry, fish, and green leafy veges.
How about magnesium? Do you have adequate amounts? A preferred supplement to take would be magnesium gluconate. Eat foods rich in magnesium such as dark leafy veges (spinach, broccoli, etc.). You may also wish to add to the list: sweet potatoes, oatmeal, brown rice, peas, and shrimp. Magnesium and calcium are the ideal marriage partners and so adequate amounts of calcium should also be considered.
Exercise often to boost body's endorphins to help with headache relief. A boost of serotonin may also be beneficial (found in B6). Proper breathing exercises should be a consideration (correct breathing involves lowering the diaphragm so the chest cavity above it is enlarged.). A little meditation after exercises is a great reward for your body (so your body will sway from using the Morse code).
Maybe this could be an opportunity to try self-hypnosis. Put your imagination to work, and focus on those blood vessels in your head, making them smaller. Imagine feeling a cold sensation in your head that would make the blood vessels constrict. To ease tension, concentrate on relaxing your head and neck muscles.
Try the tennis ball solution for tension headaches: Place 2 tennis balls in the toe end of a sock, and tie it tightly so that the balls don't move. Lie on the floor, and underneath your neck place the sock just below the base of your skull. You may experience some relief when pressure is applied on the muscles that cause the headache.
If your contribution is chosen for public viewing, you'll receive a wonderful 3 day/2 night gift certificate for 2 adults and 2 children at one of the many resorts listed throughout the US.
