You may want to try the herb “Feverfew” (a migraine fighter since the first century) as it is known to block active inflammatory agents in the body including prostaglandin, and is widely known as an effective migraine remedy.

Feverfew has been known to inhibit the release of serotonin in the brain, and is best to use everyday as a preventative measure and not when a migraine is already present. (According to one doctor, in supplement form, the recommended dosage is a daily supplement of 125 milligrams, and 0.2 % parthenolide.)

This valuable herb may be best taken as a tea using fresh leaves or tincture. When combined with Bay leaves, it may increase the potency to target the problem area.

Another herb, Meadowsweet, acts like aspirin and may be another consideration in dulling those unwanted aches.

Ginkgo may also be effective due to its circulatory benefits for the body (also assists with ringing in the ears).

Good teas for headaches are: Peppermint, Chamomile, Lemon balm and Linden flowers (helps heal migraines by improving blood circulation).
